I heart August
Greetings journal.
Tis another monday working late, oh yeah it's tuesday b/c I got FUCKED over last night and am here AGAIN. Had trees fall on power lines and such in the afternoon and all our electricity, phones, computers, AC, etc. went out for about 2 1/2 hrs. at work. You can tell the people who can and those who don't. I took advantage by playing stress ball catch with Sara, eating Cindy's chocolate, and dozing off on my desk calendar for a moment. All came back on but then went out again about 5:10pm, so they had the phones forwarded to Lisa's cell and I had to leave half-way thru my night shift and pick up HERS today since I'm sure that was so rough for her. So much screwing over. AND found out today the day before the 4th of july a.k.a. July 3rd I guess, was not given to us as a day off even though we were told not to come in. Shady mo fo's. Whatever, that's why i've been working on my resume.
Partook in partial wastedness with the boy instead though, ate calamari at Morretti's and watched the Pelican Brief. He wasn't being an inconsiderate, poker obsessed addict which was pleasant.
Is it time to go yet? At least I dont' have night class bullshit trying to catch up on. 2 of em start up in like 3 weeks. Kill me now. Hoping to get some money selling my old books back. Got an A- in my summer class. Loyola has screwed up grade scales where anything below a 95% isn't even considered an A. Stooopid. Whatever, I strive for the A-....best possible with least amount of effort put forth. Motto numero uno.
Still trying to get thru my mom's 20 page vacation log from their Hawaii trip for the big two-five anniversary. Probably hittin that in 2.5.
Tomorrow is Cindy's bachelorette outing. She's eloping this weekend to Vegas to get married by Elvis and the other 2 girls in the office and I are taking her out in Oak Park for for a last hoorah. All expenses paid for by IMG. Score! Already picked out the linguini and blueberry martini I'm getting.
