Next door and around the world.

My neighbour of 15 years auctioned his house yesterday, and managed to get his reserve with some haggleing. It's going to be sad to see him go, he's been nothing but a perfect neighbour since he moved in. Now I'm worried that the couple that bought the place will start spawning children left and right or worse - rent it out to a bunch of uni ( Read more... )

i didn't go to Disneyland when i went to Los Angeles, so i say you can miss it. Those kind of theme parks are terribly expensive.

Go hunt down Quan Yeomans instead. i think he's still living in Hong Kong now.

Yeah, I read one review that said it cost about US$70 for a ticket that includes rides... that's pretty nuts. Thinking maybe I'll wait until I go to the states before I go on a Disney adventure... mum seems pretty eager to go though.

Yeah I have a feeling the burning patriotism would get to me after a while too. And Steve Irwin after about .0000003 of a second.
I think I would find some novelty in it though.
I wouldn't want to spend a huge amount of time in LA.

You can't go over there again? Did you break that crazy peanut-eating rock concert law? :P

Would love to see Japan, cheesy, but I think it was Robs blog entry that sold me on it.

Oh and you're welcome re: spiral chat. It become apparent after the second one that they weren't really going to be choosing the hard-hitting questions for these sessions :P

i can't go over there again because of financial and emotional issues, not legal ones.

...and yeah, the nationalistic pride is very over the top. Every one in five (or more) cars had an American flag flying or at least American flag stickers. Mind you, i went over in 2002, so it might not be so bad now, though i kind of doubt that.

How many spiral chats have there been?
