an update
I am finally back at my french place (still reluctant to call it my home) after going from paris to dublin to my dad's friend's castle. It's been good so far.. Not crazy or wild, unfortunately, but I know those times will come.. eventually. I didnt meet many people, though on my last night I came across a little group of dubliners, one of whom suggested I look into this old or new chinese movement I've never heard of which helped him find himself when he went off travelling for that purpose. His friends were just horny and drunk. Good to meet them anyway haha uhhh..
I finally have a bit more of an idea what I'd like to study in uni next year, and am thinking seriously about career choices. I doubt I'll be going to Trinity College though, which I dont mind too much. I need to look into less prestigious and snobby schools. That environment is not for me.
My being here feels right, I think. I'm getting incredibly homesick; what pains me the most is I've forgotten what Aoife's laugh sounds like (laaame, I know). I also cant stop reminiscing, and looking through all the pictures on my camera - this is often followed by "AWWWW SO-AND-SO!"
I need to make friends fast or else I am going to lose it.
Looking desperately forward to coming home for a couple of weeks. My dad is slowly trying to arrange that for me.
Other than that I've seen some extremely beautiful places (and people) the past couple of weeks. Oh and GINT if you read this, I definitely thought of you when we passed by Enya's gorgeous house ;)
I dont think I'll be able to upload my pictures, or charge my batteries for my camera. And my straightener which I now need 'cause of my new hair (à la Mia Wallace/french) is useless because of the stupid european plugs. Meh. C'est la vie, right?
