IKEA (23/5/09)
Was looking fwd to the IKEA trip aft water trg. Skipped lunch w my team mates n rushed down to TI, bot finger food from Old Chang Kee and drinks from SweetTalk. Got onto the cab n was off to ikea. The most irritatin part was the storm clouds only came aft my trg ended, as it was the 1st double session, I tot not putting sun block was alright but was so wrong..the sun came out strongly durin the 2nd session.
I was v high aft watchin the kitchen styles on the ikea ads, dats y was determined to go n take a look b4 they change themes again. But sadly, most of the stuff I saw, wasn’t really applicable or nt really practical..but at least took a glance at wat they had to offer, still liked uncle marcs kitchen lol. Chanced upon a dvd rack too, great price n capacity, will b getting it when the sale is on, for now my dvd collection is overflowin n stackin on the floor.
We had “Toast Skagen” while walkin past the kitchen showrooms, cos someone was hungry. It’s a Swedish appetizer, think shrimp salad on toast. I bot the Swedish meatballs home for dinner w the family, but little did I realise dat there was already too much food prepared, a v wide spread - mashed potatoes, vege, oven grilled chicken, salmon, soup + meatballs. Still we managed to clear most of it as I din have a proper lunch.
We were watchin “Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”, during dinner and aft, to spend time w my dad. I nvr realised how funny the show was, I always tot dat it was jus another disney family show like Hanna Montana (no offence), I laughed real loud at some of the jokes n acts, more of a gd comedy film. And guess whos inside the movie, Anne Hathaway (Devil Wears Prada) and Chris Pine, but the much younger version, as compared to in Star Trek, well the movie was released in 2004..
The day ended w a gd nites slp for trg the nxt day.
