Eeep, you drew creepy serial killer trophies. (thankfully in a minimalist style *g*)

Trophies!

Oh, Dexter. He creeps me out in the best possible way.

Speaking of Dexter being creepy, this is somewhat random, but today I saw a photo of a really cool and creepy Dexter campaign in an art blog post on inventive advertising and thought you might get a kick out of this too:
advertising Dexter in a Supermarket with fake body parts at the meat counter

Ack, no, I hadn't seen that! I knew about the blood fountains, but not the meat counter. That's kind of awesome.

I think those inventive ad campaigns at darkroastedblend are so much cooler and less offensive and less tiresome than regular ads, but... I don't know how I feel about some of them. I mean, stabbing victims?

Aaaand, in keeping with the Random Recs theme, here's something you may already know about, and may or may not be interested in: nomads_ink, for learning comics.

Yeah, the stabbing victims are kind of in bad taste. I found the ones with the opening heads with stuff spilling out better because with those you can more easily see that they're fake right away. I also suspect if all ads were like that it would become obnoxious very quickly, because they are so intrusive that even neat ideas wouldn't make up for it if they were common, so I think my favorites are the ones that are funny, but not more in your face than regular billboards, like the one decorating the vending machine for the job search agency.

And I had seen the comm, but I think I'm too much of a sloth for that level of discipline. I mean, I don't even manage to stick with random regular drawing. (Also right now my desktop computer is broken and my scanner for some reason won't work with my laptop, so I can't even scan any of my drawings.) :(
