I cannot believe that my baby will be a 1yr old this week. It feels like yesterday that I was pregnant with her. Anyway, I figure now is as good a time as any to record my birth story. I'm trying to cut it, but LJ is not working. I hope it gets cut.

Wow. You are one brave, strong lady! That's quite a birth. The NICU part must have been awful.

I'm amused that you couldn't feel the contractions for a while. I couldn't feel mine for a while, either (well, I could, but they just felt a bit crampy), and the nurses were all saying I had a high pain tolerance from how they looked on the monitor.

I can't believe our babies are going to be one this week. How did that happen, and who allowed it?? It's also funny how different they are and how different their abilities are. Gnarly is not nearly the motorer that Reagan is!

You know, for you to keep your wits about you during all of this is amazing. You're a strong, brave lady, and you should be proud of yourself. I know it wasn't the birth you wanted, but you still stayed in control despite your fear--and anyone would have been scared. And after all of that, you faced down breastfeeding challenges, too! You're amazing!
