Masquerade! Paper faces on parade~
Awesome day today! Went with the family to see The Phantom of the Opera in the city~ *_* Sooo good! I haven't been to a musical since Tenimyu in the Japan, I really need to go more often.
The highlights, at least for Madara and I were definitely the costumes and the set. So pretty! We both fell in love with the boat scene (I really want a fog machine or whatever those things are called) and had fun drooling over the Phantom & Raoul's clothes. But thats to be expected considering our shared fetish for top hats and tail coats. ^^
Mum really liked it too which is a relief seeing as the tickets were a joint birthday present from the two of us. We ended up having a whole discussion over the show with her describing all the differences with the movie and me telling her how everything had worked in the novel. Dad also really enjoyed it, so much so that he ended up buying us all tickets to the Rocky Horror Picture Show next Wednesday night! Which is awesome and also suprising. I actually thought he didn't like musicals.
I also finally got to watch the first ep of the new series of Slayers last night! *_* And then rewatched it a second time with Madara. I'm so happy with it. We've been quoting it and the other 3 series all day. I think they really nailed the Slayers atmosphere and I'm really glad they managed to get all the original cast back! Sooo goood! Newest eps of Code Geass were good too but a bit lacking on the C.C. front. Still, Orenji-kun! *_* Now I just need to watch Ohno & Tohma in Maou and I'll be set~ More Gundam wouldn't hurt either...
No time for sewing unfortunately, but I did manage to buy some replacement zips for our Smash jackets. The two I'd bought before turned out to be 4cm too short even though I double checked the measurements I needed when I first went shopping >_>;;
Hopefully we'll be able to get a lot done tomorrow~
