The Square Legacy: Generation 4 Heir poll
Hello, my dearest of readers, to the second ever Square family heir poll! Or if you want to get real technical, the first annual first-ever generation four heir poll!
First thing's first: the TS4 versions of the Squares are not perfect. I tried to make them look fairly similar, but they are not 100% the same. Part of it is due to the games' different graphics and the wildly different CAS system; part of it is due to my general laziness. I mean there are only so many ways you can tweak a nose before you just get frustrated with it and move on to the next sim... Which is to say, the Van Watson nose is surprisingly difficult to recreate in TS4.
But I did try to at least make them somewhat recognizable... I hope they are, anyway :-<
But enough of my complaining. Let's get this ball rolling, shall we?
*game show music starts up*
As you no doubt noticed during the months and months it took to get through generation three, this gen was sort of a mixed bag. Of AWESOMENESS. Starting with this guy:
Bartz, due to some inter-game shenanigans, was unfortunately de-aliened in the transfer to the new game. I mean I do have Get to Work and surprisingly you can create aliens in CAS... unfortunately aliens also only have one oufit, and this just wasn't going to fly with Bartz Square! So he has been somewhat "reincarnated" as a green hugh-man.
And what would Bartz bring to the table, should he be made heir?
Why, he'd do what he does best, and annoy the crap out of everyone with his constant playing of any and all musical instruments, of course! If Bartz isn't glued to a piano, he just isn't Bartz, let me tell you.
But Bartz is not only a sim who has a love of music... he has a taste for the daring, and the taboo, as well, as we all learned from the debacle that was the last chapter. So I imagine he would want to go around seducing the pants off of every unsuspecting townie he fancied. Not that they would mind--he has a winning personality and good taste in shades, after all, as well as the enviable talent of matching his shirt with his underpants. What a winner! Doesn't that make you want to vote for him, readers?
His new Aspiration is to be fabulously wealthy.

Next is the first "normal" sim of the generation, Gilgamesh. "Normal" being perhaps a bit, er, generous.
Unfortunately, in spite of the addition of detective as a career choice, it is not an aspiration choice... But not even the limitations of the new software can stop Gilgamesh Square from achieving his dreams!
That's right, readers, Gil Square is one insane mofo and he is out to fight crime... by doing everything by-the-book. How else will he fight the rampant abuse of the law in Willow Creek if he stoops to the level of common criminals? He's an idealist, that Gilgamesh Square.
You're a madman, Square! A MADMAAAAAAAAANNNNN!
And where would Gil be without his progeny? Yes, if you vote for Gil, you are voting for his son, Locke, currently the only Square with the honor of being named after a FFVI character. Which is pretty neat in itself, I would say.
Gil's new Aspiration is to be a bodybuilder; his son's childhood Aspiration is to be a whiz kid.

And right this-a-way we have oldest girl Faris Square! Disregard her lovely and winning smirk here, readers, Faris is as dorky and awkward as ever:
What's that, Mr. Chess Piece? Faris only wished to know the secrets of the game board, to feel the flow of the energy that would direct her hand to her next and most superlative move? Well, pardon me!
Faris also likes to spend her time alone, and finds that the best room is an empty room... well, a room empty of people other than herself, of course. She has much the same predicament as Gil as regards her goals: she cannot aspire to be a scientist, because it is not an aspiration. However, she can very well do all the sciencing she wants, while she talks to the only person who gets her: a robot!
The robot also makes things, so there's that.
Her new Aspiration is to have a nerd brain. I'm not sure how you can have one if you're not already inclined to be a nerd, but, ehhhhhh whatever, we'll figure it out as we go.

Next up is the ever-radiant Miss Lenna Square, who is depicted here as being five seconds away from a total bug-induced breakdown... were that I were kidding, readers. Squeamish sims hate camping, let me tell you!
Though Lenna was a bit reluctant to delve into the culinary arts, she has since outgrown her insecurities and has become a right queen of the kitchen. Which is good, because sims seem to need to eat A LOT in this game. It's like they'll wander to the kitchen in the morning and five seconds later be right back... I don't know what's up with these sims, man, but they're never satisfied. Never.
But, uh, Lenna... right. Well she's really pretty!
And if she's selected heiress, she will no doubt want to have a million trillion babies. Which is not a bad thing.
Her new Aspiration is to be a master chef.

And last but certainly not least is the fair Charlotte Square! Who is on her way to do what she does best:

Now Charlotte's not all about chilling... mostly she is, but she also writes, if you'll remember. Not that she will probably do much of that, since she is a lazy sim and also she loves the outdoors. And how could you ever expect a girl to sit on her butt and write all day when she could be fishing instead? I mean look at how happy she is!
I'm going to be honest and say she probably brings the least to the table, except for her rather flexible schedule. Which means that it will probably be the least stressful to look for a mate for her, as well as achieve her new Aspiration.
Which is, if you haven't guessed by now, to be a bestselling author.
