Spotlight on the Arts presents Avant Fairfax at the Old Town Hall for a third year in a row to showcase some of the world’s greatest unheralded musicians. Again we have for your listening pleasure one of the most diverse line ups from across the world of underground music. Invited artists span areas of experimental music, folk, noise, bluegrass, heavy psych, free improv as well as the corners, side streets and spaces in between. Previous fests have boasted acts such as Cheer-Accident, Scarcity of Tanks, Ergo, Algernon, KBD, and Chris Forsyth among many others. This year’s fest promises will be no less spectacular.
