TGIT

Yeah, well, our Fridays aren't so rough, although tomorrow we will, in fact, have to do work. I do like the fact that our version of TGIF has the word "git" in it . . .

This week was me being short on sleep and then short on sleep and tired from karate . . . to the point of feeling ill, getting into a weird hormonal state, hating the 3nen classes that seemed to take up all week . . . so it was an effing long week for being only four days. Even some amusing moments with students and some really adorable ichinensei students couldn't make up for it, and a couple of ichinen classes is usually all it takes to make me feel better. Feh. Yay for it being over!

There's some emotional stuff that led to the lack of sleep, but I'm wondering if it weren't compounded by my watching Ghost Hunt whenever I had the chance ^^;. It's not that scary for a horror anime, but still, I'm a wuss. Between the title and the cutesy schoolgirl lead, I was only watching Ghost Hunt because it's one of Hamada Kenji's rare regular roles. He plays a jaunty buddhist monk/rock musician ^o^ - very different from Tomomori/Shirogane. This was a more normal sort of a role, and yet he knocked me on my ass. Part of it is that I love the dude's voice, but it also felt like everything he said was nuanced and real. Why isn't this guy working more? *shakes fist* The charas turned out to be really likable (especially Hamada's chara, but also the main chara and some of the others). Definitely a show that could have gone on longer, and I rarely think that about 25-ep series these days ^^;;;. Yay for unexpectedly good anime.
