Howdy y'll,
Yesterday i went to hooters for the first time with my dad. Do NOT get mild buffalo wings. They have no flavor. Get hot, those are good. I would not choose to go there because it is not that great. Then we went to the Opry Mills. Walked through the huge mall there but none of the stores were open because it was a holiday. We saw the grand ol' opry, i think.
We also went to the glass light ice house. Huge ice sculptures and shit. I slid down a man made ice slide. It was really cool. I have never seen anything like that in real life. Only on tv when i watched the making of an ice hotel.
Today we went to one of the civil war battle fields in Murfreesburrow (about 1/2 hr from here). It was one of the worst battles of that war. 23,000 men died there. We got to see a firing arms demonstration by men dressed up like soldiers because that battle started on december 31st and lasted till ?. But yeah, The cannon was loud. Seeing and hearing the men fire cannons and guns was eerie. I was trying to imagine what it would have been like in that war. Really loud and brutal. You all have seen the movies of two sides charging at each other. That's what it was like. I do not think i will ever forget the booming echo of the cannon and the misty smoke it made.
Then we drove for like 2 hours in some mountains. It was cool. Yes, i did see some hillbillys. The rodes here are so narrow. No shoulder what so ever. It is not like driving in iowa where you have plenty of road room to drive.
We went back to the Old mill mall. There is a waterfall with a huge fish tank there in the outdoors store. They also have an under water resturaunt. I am telling you in this mall you can experience the aqaurium of the omaha zoo. Glow in the dark golf, arcade, kickass bowling ali with a huge tv above every lane, sports bar with a big wall of tvs, imax theater, 20 theaters, and tons more. The flooring through out the whole mall is wood, nice wood. It was really cool and all i bought was jeans, a wallet, and a tank. It was fucken cool. Oh, yeah they had tons of shoe stores but i resisted and did not go in most of them. I did not want to bore my dad and i am not in dire need of shoes. The things i did get i needed.
Saterday we are going to huntsville alabama to the nasa center and some other places. That will be fun and then on sunday i come back.
Sorry i rambled about what i have been doing but it was an experience. At least for me because i have never been to anyplace cool like this.
I almost forgot, It was 65 degrees out today. Capri's and a t-shirt. ahhh, i love warm weather.
