Fighting the Hydra
Back in early 2005 I inherited the position of being webmaster for colgaffneyis, my predecessor having managed a very creditable imitation of dropping off the face of the Earth. The site was a mess. It still is--it had been neglected for years, and I have not had nearly the time (or, frankly, the inclination) for the effort of properly redoing it. However, I have made numerous small corrections and updates.
Today I made some changes people might actually notice--I altered the front page, and two section index pages. The new links work, and make important parts of the site much easier to find. Excellent.
Of course, as soon as I uploaded the new pages I noticed some other things that really need to be fixed. Sigh.....
