Tootalage

I'm going to toot my wife's horn for a change here. As you may or may not know, Gmajorette is, in my opinion, a brilliant writer of children's fiction. If you need a comparison to get a sense of what kinds of stories she writes, she definitely has a Robert Munsch sensibility. Anyhow, knowing that Gminor's class was studying the Arctic and Arctic wildlife, and in particular polar bears, she offered to loan them her story "Drake and the Polar Bear" for the day, which the teacher read to the class. Well, apparently the kids loved it so much they wanted to write a thank you letter.

It reads:

Dear [Gmajorette],

You write good stories like the one Mrs. [Teacher] read. We liked when the kids believed in the polar bear when they saw him at the party. We like the part where he growled! We love polar bears!

[signatures of the entire class]

The publishers of this world may have yet to discover her talent, but the people have spoken!
