Well, as I feared might happen in my earlier entry, my 20" CRT monitor is now dead. Dead dead dead and dead.
Great. I had hoped I might be able to spend some money this year upgrading, maybe a little RAM here, a DVD burner there, but no, in order to use my computer AT ALL, I have to go and buy another monitor. *grumblegrumblegrumble*
Fortunately, Carbon Computing seems to have a used 20" for $150 which isn't terrible, but like I said, the money could've gone somewhere else. They're closed for the night so I guess that's where I'm headed tomorrow morning.
My former monitor was a used one, and I got a couple of years out of it, I think. (starfishchick, when did I sell you The Tractor? How long ago was that?
Meantime, I'll be using Gminor's Blueberry iBook so I'm not completely out of touch.
