Saw Wallace and Gromit in Curse of the Were Rabbit tonight.
So funny I nearly passed out from O2 deprivation from laughing so hard. Just what I needed.
5/5 Golden Carrots.
W&G are always smashingly good, and this was no exception. The sets, the cinematography, the sight gags, the props, the music... really really good. As a werewolf movie fan, I was quite pleased to see them hit all the marks, and in a twisted and funny way. There are loving references to the older W&G cartoons, and loads of new gags and action pieces, all leading us down a bizarre and funny rabbit hole. Ah, I can't say enough good about this one. I'll probably see it a few more times and breathlessly await its DVD release. There's so much going on, you really need the ability to freeze-frame and slow search just to catch it all. Excellent voice cast including Ralph Fiennes, and Helena Bonham Carter, and of course Peter Sallis as Wallace.
See it now! Right now! Drop whatever you're doing (put clothes on, of course) and rush right out...of course, make sure the theatre's actually open first.
