Japan Trip, Day 14

Sep 28, 2007 22:28

I spend the early morning in bed, then awake and catch up on the internet news. It was announced the previous night that the Ford Taurus which was supposedly finished after 2007, and the Mercury Sable which finished up in 2005, are being re-launched as 2008 model year vehicles. This made my day and I spend much of it reading up on the events. I also play Nox, avoiding the cold outside.

This evening, on our way to Obihiro, Grey and I attempt to stop at a local museum which houses a wooly mammoth that was discovered in the area. Much to our dismay, the building is closed, and we head on up north toward Brett and Sarah’s apartment. We stop at a shopping center before arriving at the apartment where Grey procures some teacherly things. Upon our arrival at the apartment, we are presented with the decision of food for the evening, and curry is decided upon. We travel to the curry restaurant, order food there to go, then move to the 7-11 next door, where I procure ice cream. We pay, pick up our orders from the curry place, and return to the apartment where we proceed to watch Robot Chicken as we dine.

As the night draws to a close, Grey prepares to make the return drive to Taiki and I go with him to “walk” the route I will be taking tomorrow to the bus station. It does not seem very difficult and I am reasonably confident that I will be able to make it, even with a suitcase and laptop in tow. He drops me off back at Brett and Sarah’s apartment building and we part ways.

As I step back into the apartment, everything is ready for sleep, and I will be sleeping this night in the closet. An interesting prospect.

To be continued....
