I don't know what I did to piss off karma, but it must have been a doozy. Or maybe (I hope) karma is about to hand me a huge payoff, so it decided to get in its kicks now so I'd earn it... I don't know. Either way, karma has made me her bitch.
In the last week...
My boyfriend had the crap beaten out of him because 7 frat-heads thought he was gay.
My breaks went out and I had to max out my credit card getting them fixed (Yeah, car just didn't kind of want to stop when I was trying to make a right turn to go home. I barely made the next right, and limped the car over to my mechanic's Wednesday night. They had both back drums replaced with new pads by 10am Thursday for me).
Our basement downstairs flooded really bad last night. There was at least 28+ gallons of water, probably more. This caused a few minor power outages in the house, not to mention poor Erik living down there. He says he didn't lose anything, which is good, but he still had to stay awake all night preventing the water from spreading too far into the domain of the Erik habitat-side of the basement.
I just found out that Keila (the ol' bitchy room mate that announced she was moving out after living with me for 3 days and hates me but "doesn't know why") is moving back in (WTF?!?!) because Erik, her brother, has a lot of pressure put on them by their mother to help her out even though she's screwed him over in the past, and us. I guess she's moving here until December when she's moving to Florida, so at least it's only temporary... but still. I have to live with this crazy chick and her fucking non-house trained dog and her drama and her issues again? I repeat, W-T-F, yo?
I'm a little peeved that my room mates have neglected to pay the electricity, gas, and Comcast bills for the last few months, so they're looking to me to pay almost $2000 to bring us all down to 0. I'm sorry... I will pay MY portion, not the whole thing. I can't afford to and pay rent, and pay for the car repairs, and pay off my credit card...
Oh, and today- this is the kicker- My car was at the mechanic's yesterday because of my brakes... And TODAY my starter died. It could be my fuel pump, but I'm pretty sure it's my starter because I'm only getting one little click when I turn the car over and power is making it to everything else. So yeah- there's another $300 in repairs I don't have.
I did get some good news this week. It looks like I'll be getting my portion of my student loans Monday of next week, so I'll have some money to renew my AAA to get my car towed, have money to pay for the repairs of the car, I'll be able to pay off the $1500 on my credit card, art supplies, and rent and bills... but again, on the bills; I will pay my portion. Not the whole thing. After the bills are brought down to 0, I'll be taking over the responsibility of paying the bills and take them out of Petie's hands since he's not been doing the job.
I got back my first couple of grades back from my classes, and have been averaging As and Bs. I got a C on one class assignment in drawing, but with extra credit, I should be able to rectify that rather easily. It's just going to be hard to finish my homework if I can't get to the school during non-school hours to draw from the still life there. It looks like this is going to be bout a 16-20 hour drawing she wants right in the middle of all of this.
I have a shoot tomorrow at MTN that will run from about 9 am to about 5 pm. I will be paid for this, so I have to somehow finagle a car for tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be able to borrow one from a friend or have my boyfriend chauffeur me (he has a stick and my stick-driving is... rusty)... Oh, and Hamil.
Poor Hamil. He and his crazy girlfriend broke up. So his heart's... shattered right now. I'm doing my best to be there for him as a friend. He needs that more than I need time. Maybe if I can give him the shoulder he needs to lean on, karma will give me the leeway I need to get ahead of the onslaught.
Oh- in other news, I might have gotten an Arcana Studios job drawing a humor/suspense/drama/fantasy book for Gordon, my puppet boss. He just has to talk with the "current artist" (who hasn't worked on anything in months) and let him know he's being let go.
And in other-other news... TVTV has an air-date! YAY!
Transylvnia Television will be premiering in the Twin Cities at midnight, Oct. 12th on the CW (which is on different channels for satellite, cabel, and antenna) so I can't really give you station #s... However, WE HAVE AN AIR DATE!
