Workin' in a coalmine, working down south...

Oct 23, 2008 05:13

I updated the chapter headings for Peter Penn for Slipshine and uploaded the next 5 pages. I hope that my business partners on the project don't get angry that I uploaded them when they said they would, but their last e-mail also said that they were extremely busy so I assume they either forgot to upload them when they said they would...or they're being passive aggressive with their lackadaisical update schedule. If the latter, then I certainly deserve the treatment. But still. I'm really trying to take the high ground with these two and not rip into them like they've ripped into me... It's hard sometimes.

I'm going to scan in a LOT of artwork today so I should be uploading a few to the net to link here for your viewing pleasure. Until then, enjoy my first sound sincing project.

The point of this assignment was to match actions with sounds, not to be coherent. It's very random, I know, but this was the sound clip my instructor provided us and we weren't able to cut it up or alter it in any way. I will say this. I learned a LOT about After Effects over the last 3 weeks working on this. No, it didn't take me 3 weeks to do this, if that's what you're wondering, He just gave us 4 to work on it. Had I worked on it in one go, I probably would have finished this over 3 8-hour days. The girl's are Jeff Campbell's, I don't remember where I pulled the dolphin footage from (but I salvaged it from an animated .gif), and the TV is from the Philo's logo. Aside from meticulously re-scanning, cleaning up, and adding effects to the "happy dance" animation, I didn't really do very much by way of "added art." More of simply combining elements.

Let me know what you think, it's not due until Wednesday (as pointed out by the below updated punchlist), so I have time to take in notes. I love "workdays" in class. :)

If the video is a little too degraded, let me know, and I'll upload the quicktime and link to that instead.
