I'm still alive!
We moved into a new apartment about three weeks ago, and now finally (after many frustrating hours of trying to install it) we have internet so I can check LiveJournal again. We don’t have cable, so my evenings have consisted of pool tournaments and watching Justin play video games for far too long! At least with the internet I can kill an hour or two! So anyway, we love the new apartment. It’s so pretty and we actually have a deck which we were very happy about- we can have a barbeque and deck furniture now which we were exceedingly happy about. I’ll have to post pictures of the new apartment if I can ever get everything unpacked and cleaned up!
Surprisingly, we even got most of our deposit back from the old apartment, something we weren’t exactly holding our breath over. We had heard horror stories about the manager going into litigation rather than refunding the deposit. We had almost $800 due back to us, so we were quite worried, but got all of it back minus the cost of having the carpet shampooed. So we’re using some of that check to buy each other anniversary and birthday presents since all three occasions fall within the same week. By the way, I can’t even fathom how an entire year has (almost) gone by since we got married! That’s just insane, it seems like it was just a couple months ago.
I’m having a hard time asking for birthday presents this year because everything I want is expensive! So far the possible list of things includes a digital camera, a new cell phone and Stella McCartney’s new perfume which I discovered yesterday and LOVE. I feel so bad asking for any of it, but that’s what I want! I feel so greedy! ;-)
