such great heights

best weekend ever.

friday - the coffeehouse. hurrah! it was a million times better than i thought it would be. the band was good and well loved by all, open mic was a BIG hit. everyone helped out so much, and i love them. it was tons of fun, and i got to meet lots of interesting people who told me i should do this thing twice a month. maybe not. for my first event, it was awesome. and i had the best time. even tho i was shaking beforehand. if i did not have all the amazing support and help i did i would have died. i have great friends!
i smiled so much my face hurt.
it was a great atmosphere, and there were many good friends around. i. loved. it.
especially when it started hardcore storming during a poetry reading.

saturday - woke up way to early, and took a little trip up to main campus to check out the living situation for next year with megan, kara, and tyler. i saw eastview and liked it alot, but not for the price so i think we are just going to get an on campus apartment. main is uber fun. we played with strange fish and took a walk in the rain and ate creamery ice cream (the best ice cream known to man - go penn state!!)
had a good time with the funniest people ever. as tyler puts it, it was hilarious, lowlarious, and in-betweenlarious.
i like snow patrol. like mad.
then i came home to altoona, and after a quick stop to OIP for the best pizza ever went home and started the 3 hour process of transforming myself into Ramona for halloween.
beth and i created an 80s hair band called martha's fan blade. the member's names are Roxette and Ramona. we have been around for about a year, and are working on our 2nd album. our uber success all started with the hit song and dance craze, 'cat in the litterbox'
marthas fan blade spent 3 hours getting into costume for halloween. my hair was so big i had trouble fitting into the car. fake eyelashes and fishnets were involved as well as clothing ripped to shreads and complete with 10000 safety pins. our instruments were harmonicas, but only cause we had trouble trying to find kazoos. (what is the world coming to?)
the party was fun, and silly of course. we were given a $1 dvd of a 1970s straight to video version of the jungle book for having the best costumes.
pictures are coming...
we left, and beth, brad, ben and i went to denny's. i raced ben on the way there and would have won if he wasnt a psyco driver.
dennys lead to more fun shanaigans that i just cant reveal, cause you had to be there. but beth and i did have to run away and be protected by the boys from the big scary biker man that wanted to rape us. eek and eww. im not a prostitute, im a 1985 rockstar. (hmm...) leave me alone.
it was still a good time. we scared old people.
it took awhile to get the hair out of ramona mode.
beth is the freakin best, and it was the most fun ever.
marthas fan blade will be making guest appearences at a place near you.

sunday - SUCH a beautiful day. the kind of day that just makes it hard not to walk around singing praise songs. after church, (where i recieved the greatest news ever) a group of us went to james and tom's for lunch. we made yummy pizza and salad. afterwards, we went for a walk on this most gorgeous day.
now, tom and james live on a piece of land that is about 200 acres on the mountain of fields, woods, pond, ect ect. aka - its breathtaking and fun. so we walked around and froliked in the leaves ( i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall i love fall) it was so beautiful it almost brings a tear. (pause for moment of silence)
i love the north.
a group of us also went to see a little community theatre tonight. it was cute and funny, and a little bit dumb. but i liked it cause i am dorky.
came home and played monopoly with the college park-mates. very cut throat and serious. jim and i decided to call it a draw when we were the last two people left. but if we had kept playing, i would have (wrestler mode) ANNIALATED HIM!!

i love this cat lying on my bed.

my mom decided to send me a tin full of 15 pounds worth of chocolate for halloween cause she is insane. it is for everyone i know, and when i asked her why she sent it she said, " cause i know you have been stressed lately, and hopefully this will help. now all of you need to eat chocolate so you can stay up late and study"
i. love. my. mom.

but perhaps this would have helped us more if we were a group of potheads. :)
just kidding!

adieu, loves
