I still have hope that desmond and doctor chick will get off the island. they would not be part of oceanic 6.

maybe the freighter doesn't blow but gets back all secret like with non oceanic folks.

I think there are people on the island but it moved before faraday gets back and there will be sayid jack hurley on the helicopter right as the island poofs

I wonder if the non-Oceanic 6 people like Juliet and Desmond getting off depends on the outside world not knowing about it. I just don't understand why Jack and them have to lie about everything unless they're protecting someone(s) or protecting the Island under blackmail or duress from Ben. (Or the monster!)

Part of me feels like they are protecting, or think they are protecting, folks who are still on the Island. Part of my thinks that is way too simple an explanation for this show, tho.

Yeah, plus I don't get why keeping them hidden would help them! Why wouldn't they be telling the world they exist and we have to save them? I guess Ben, Locke, Sawyer, Rose, and Bernard might want to stay secret, but what about Juliet, Desmond, Jin, and Claire? Are they all four dead by the time of the escape? Not to mention all the redshirts. And of course, Faraday and miss Snotty Redhead need to get off too.

Also, why would Sawyer choose to stay with just Ben and Locke and Rose and Bernard for company?!?!?! And the Others? Is he just staying out of stubbornness to piss off Kate?

I feel like there has to be some intricate plan in play here. Maybe whatever Christian and Claire alluded to in the cabin last week? Some folks, tho, I think were left behind by accident when the Island moved....Juliette in particular, and probably Faraday and that redhead who I hope dies, too.

I think Sawyer feels like he found his purpose on the Island. He's made such a huge turnaround there. Folks respect him, and he really likes that...it's probably never happened to him before. I think he's sort of given up on being Kate's sloppy seconds.
