Being the philosophical type, I have a funny little story bout AI and the like. I was in a class and a comment came up from the person we were studying the man is not, mind you NOT autonomous. In a short paper I disagreed saying what if we are. Is the human brain nothing more than an organic version of IBM's super computer? When we're born is our program designed to first learn through sensory perceptions, and finally when it learns to rationally learn it reflects upon previous stored situations to determine a course of action. Is this not like a computer, or AI rather

The first paragraph is something I've considered on more than one occasion. I think much more along the lines of is anyone other than ourselves "real" and even ourselves for that matter? Like does our mind make up what we need to know, the interactions we have with others and everything else, in order to make them easier to accept and/or understand? That the knowledge we gain on a day to day basis is simply programmed in and learned a little at a time, but we're not programmed to be able to comprehend it. That everything and everyone we come in contact with is merely a manifestation of some strand of programming in our brains. It's easy for us to accept that someone taught us something, impossible to accept that we knew it the whole time, and our teacher was made up. Make sense

See you point(s), and was written (mine) when I was like 1/2 awake, lol. Basically just saying we ALL need to wake up sometimes and realize that we are intrinsically selfish and our time here is too short. There's not enough time to be greedy, and honestly if it was my ex, or anyone's ex for that matter, I would wish you'd simply clue me in. Seriously though, even if it WAS my ex, I would be happy if you were, no lie man. But alas, that's me...

Addendum: Another big reason, I think, as to why I personally wouldn't pursue a friend's ex is the gross factor. The majority of my friends, I've lived with, or lived in close proximity to. That means I've SEEN the girls that some of my friends can bring home from the bar. I don't want MY dick touching anything that HIS dick was in. Honestly. Damn.
