This post is long overdue and I've got very little time to get stuff said...
I worked, yes worked, for a company that treated me poorly when I actually needed it to support me. Due to my sacrifices, I'm in quite a bind. A failed hostile takeover from one of our vendors has lead to me becoming unemployed at the beginning of July '07 and not paid for the month beforehand. I had to get a new car shortly after being let go due to the fact that my previous one finally started entering into its death throes. I'm still looking for work.
I've made it to a few concerts and out & about to a few gaming convensions across the country. I've driven to Milwaukee, all over Georgia and Alabama and all the way to Providence, Rhode Island. It is safe to say that I've kept my wandering moniker. I've been quite active within the Camarilla Fan Club and have let things really slack in regards to One World by Night since I was voted out of the Tzimisce Coordinator position this past November. I present run a Werewolf: the Forsaken game, in Orlando, for the Cam and it seems that I've started making a name for myself in regards to aspects of that genre.
I've dated some amazing women this year but nothing has stuck out really long term. I'm presently sitting 'round in the unblissfully single stage of life... again. My apathy and hermit nature have not served me well at all. Other than my sister being a pain, I've got a great set of roommates in my house. Yes... my house. My family owns the house where I and my sister live, and pay the morgage. Please disregard the Rainbow Fish pink and purple coloring of my room. It is what it is. My dog, Brunet, lives with us here in Orlando. He's a retired greyhound and is 13 years old this year. The old man plays and acts like a dog more and more each day. The vet still can't believe in his vitality at his age, which is venerable for greyhounds I've been told. Andrew, my brother, graduated from UCF this past December, with a double degree in Management Information Systems and Accounting. My sister, Jessica, works at the local Rainforest Cafe and still fibs to my parents on how far along she is with her schooling. We still don't like each other. I've got a year and a half on my theoretical mathematics degree if some university will just finally accept me. UNF, in Jacksonville, is looking the most promising but if I could get work at UCF or Rollins, I'll stay down here and finish my degree without having to move.
My Grandma Lil died last night. She's been dying at different speeds for the last three months. She was the most influential person in my life and now she's gone forever. My fucked up emotions haven't let me cry since I first heard the news. There'll come a point when they come back, in sobs and shrieks. I'm expecting my parents and brother to be arriving from Miami (my folks live down there now) later this afternoon, for the five of us to drive up to Cleveland. I'm expecting us to arrive up north come sometime on Sunday. I'm not sure when the funeral is going to be but I'm most likely staying in Cleveland to sit shiva with my parents. She was my father's mother.
Chances are that I will not be online (or have anything resembling reliable internet access) so, functioning via telephone will be a necessity. If you wish to call to talk, or make arrangements if you're in the area, you can reach me at 941 284-2345. I appreciate the company (both voice & in person). Texting is perfectly fine as well.
On an up note, Transformers and Stardust are must see movies. Both are top notch in my book. I also liked the new Harry Potter movie and book. And Changeling: the Lost rocks my socks off, if I was wearing any.
