Befitting.

You know how I feel right now? Here:

I've been sick for a fucking week, suck-ass-dog. No matter what, though, I'm getting back in the game come Monday. I feel hibernatedly dumb. wtf.

I also feel like I'm doing just enough to get by in every aspect of my life. A fucked up person once told me, "well, there's always suicide." It's scary, the logic there. Seeing it as a back-up plan.

I watched Wristcutters last night... beautiful. I really enjoyed watching it... thinking about the metaphors and ideas presented therein... the gorgeous unraveling of the plot. I may watch it again tonight. It was the kind of desolation that is so sweetly sick in Modest Mouse that made the film so richly emotive for me. There was a sense of smiling through the misery (which is ?Ironic? maybe considering a key plot tidbit) and I sorta love that.

I'm so over my department and school that I'm not even going to represent it here. So there. Gustav was interesting, destructive in many ways, a test ... this is only a test, restorative, perhaps needed, and a little cohesive there in the middle. I liked it, but am sorry there was so much destruction all the same. I can be both compassionate and in favor of destruction, right? Right.
