Holy Cow! Something totally amazing happened while I was genderswapped last week.
While I was a girl, I happened to be visiting the Crogs and I had my MP3 player with me, and I was kinda singing out loud (oh, come on, who doesn't sing out loud when they think no one's listening?) and it happened to be this song by
Utada Hikaru called "Beautiful World" (yeah, she was the Japanese pop star that was really popular early in the twentieth century and her music is kinda in vogue now, go figure).
Anyway, I was singing it, and the Crogs just all ... stopped what they were doing and just ... stood around listening. It was really weird. So I stopped singing, and they kinda shook their heads, like they were in a trance or something. So, as an experiment, I turned the music up loud enough for them all to hear it, and they did it again. Just dropped what they were doing and just stood there listening. They had such ... peaceful expressions on their faces. I had never seen anything like it before in my life.
Apparently, the Crogs don't have any music in their culture. Like, at all. Can you imagine what that must be like, never having listened to music? I think ... somehow, this music about love and affection, it did something to the Crogs. Awakened dormant emotions they never knew they possessesd.
I think I may have accidentally discovered the key to finally ending the conflict between humans, Nourasians, and Crogs once and for all ...
((If any of you caught the reference to Macross in there, you get a cookie~))
