(no subject)
Holy Lord its been a long time since I've posted anything on here. Well first and foremost I'M MARRIED~! To an amazing man named Dennis. Right now we are renting a house his mom and step dad are selling while we start the hunt of buying a house. I swear - I really thought this whole "buying a house" thing consisted of finding a house you like, getting financing, buying it and moving in to decorate and make it your own..... Well *surprise*surprise* its nothing like that - its a lot more! But I know we'll be really happy when all is said and done.
Job is good. I'm still working at the Resort only now I work down in the Banquet/Conference Center office. I get to work with weddings!!! It is so much fun. I get to show brides around the place and answer all their questions and be there when they walk down the aisle! I almost cry every time. Its really amazing to know that 3 days out of the week I get to witness the most important day of people's lives. How can you not love that? Don't get me wrong it gets VERY stressful (for instance - when the baker gets into a car accident and the cake is ruined....) - but you take it all in stride and look and the big picture and its AMAZING.
Other than that not a whole lot has happend. Dennis and I are yet to take a honeymoon and our options have slowly dwindled with the less Dennis cares about it. He'd just like to go to the UP for the weekend and I say to hell with that. We first thought Hawaii, then a cruise, then Lake Tahoe, then it downsized to simply going up north to Traverse City for the weekend. I'm not saying that any one of those wouldn't be a nice trip but its our HONEYMOON!! THats what I have to keep telling him. This should be unlike any trip we've ever taken or ever will take. But all I know is that with all thats happend I need a vacation - no matter where it is.
MY BIRTHDAYS COMING! MY BIRTHDAYS COMING! Oh wait but before I get ahead of myself - my brothers 30th birthday is coming THIS Saturday and we're renting a stretch Lincoln Navigator (high style bitches!) and going to Luckys and Tequila Rain in Novi. I'm so excited! I'm going today to Macy's to look for a dress. Thats probably not absolutely necessary but dammit I want to do it up. haha.
Okay now .... MY BIRTHDAYS COMING! MY BIRTHDAYS COMING! September 24th is right around the corner! Too bad that happens to be a Monday... I'm sort of pissed - I really wanted to go to a Tigers game but... I didn't want to plan my own birthday so I put it in Dennis' hands and (typical) he waited too long and now its standing room only - screw that straight to hell. So now I don't know what to do. Garret (yes Garret Mandy! haha!:) was going to come down and everything and now - I don't think we have anything fun to do so I doubt anyone will really want to come. :( I guess next year if I want something fun I have to plan it myself.... which I think is really gay....Such is life...
Alright I guess I'll get going for now. I miss my livejournal...maybe I'll quit abandoning it so much..
