Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:
1 lb american cheese
1 lb box elbow macaroni
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

melt the butter in large saucepan over low heat then slowly add the
flour stirring constantly to form a paste. then add the milk raising
the heat to bring it to a boil while stirring. in the meantime boil
large pot of water for the macaroni. add the cheese to the milk
mixture 1 slice at a time making sure its melted in before adding
more. when your done the macaroni should be done too. strain macaroni
throughly get it good and dry. then put it in a large baking pan and
cover with the cheese sauce stirring it in. cover it with a layer of
breadcrumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

I was notified after it had been baking for 20 minutes that salt should be added to the cheese sauce to taste if breadcrumbs are not avaliable.
