[ A low grunt is all she gets as a response as the sleeping man shifts a bit in his sleep before rolling on his back and sliding his hand through his hair. It takes him a minute or so to slowly but surely start perceiving that this was not the usual bed he slept on. Or that he didn't usually wear this much clothing to bed. ]
... Am I right if I assume this is the Louvre Hotel?
[ He mumbled in a somewhat annoyed tone, throwing a glance at Ema... and keeping his gaze on her when he noticed what she was wearing. He had not idea whether to be amused, confused or turned on by it. ]
That's the best guess I have at the moment. [She sits up with an agitated sigh, running a hand through her hair before getting up to try the door--locked--and the windows--also locked.
For the moment, she's completely oblivious to his staring. She's more focused on the situation at hand, at least for now.] And they don't intend on letting us leave, apparently.
[ He completely fails to see logic as to why she's wearing so little and he's dressed up so fancily. Though he isn't complaining, hehe... ]
Last year, at the end of August, adults were trapped in a bedroom with someone of the opposite sex. I believe they were trapped for approximately five hours. During this time, the teenagers were on the Makeout Point, trapped inside of cars and the children and pets were sent to a "daycare".
[ He recalls his notes, fiddling with his bow tie. ]
Maybe they had pity on me, since I'm married to a creep. I'm not complaining, in any case... if I have to be half naked and trapped in a hotel room, I'd rather it be with you. [That's true love right there.]
Although I would have appreciated it if either we were both dressed or both not. This is really unfair--how come you get clothes and I don't?
[ He feels so special now. ] I hope this doesn't come out sounding rude, but since when did Mayfield have pity on anyone, mm? But whatever their reason for this was, I'm glad they chose to pair us together. This might have been a bit awkward with my "wife".
[ Taking off his tuxedo, Klavier gets out of the bed and walks over to Ema, placing the jacket on her shoulders. ] Maybe it's more of a woman's job to seduce the man, ja? [ He leans in to kiss her forehead, stroking her cheek gently with his finger. ]
Dammit, Klavier, don't ruin my blind optimism here. [Still, she's smiling, especially after he drapes his tuxedo jacket over her shoulders and kisses her forehead. She slips her arms into the sleeves; the jacket is (obviously) too big on her, but it's better than nothing.
Also, it smells like him. Ema's surprised to realize that she's happy about that fact. God, when did she become this kind of sappy girlfriend?]
Well, I'm doing a terrible job at seducing you, then, since all I've done so far is whine and try to leave. I hope you don't take that too personally.
[ Chuckle. ] Nothing you haven't done before also, so nein. In fact, I'm rather used to hearing you complain and then maybe throwing snacks at me. You can be so vicious, Fräulein. [ Is this S&M? ಠ_ಠ
Anyhow, he lets his gaze wander around the room again, stopping once he notices the little candle light dinner that has been set up for them. Dammit Mayfield for making him feel suspicious of food all the time. ]
[Ema laughs a bit herself.] You're the one who's dating me, so you must enjoy it on some level. You'd be bored if I were any nicer to you.[Possibly? XD;
She follows his gaze to the table and frowns a little. The food looks (and smells!) delicious, but like Klavier she can't help but be wary of it.] You think they might have laced it with something? An aphrodisiac, maybe? [Considering the candlelight, the vibrating bed with the satin sheets, the roses, the way she's dressed... she wouldn't be at all surprised if that were the case.]
Considering they had just woken up and hadn't prepared for a sudden leave from their house, Klavier had to admit he was feeling a bit hungry and the smell of the food certainly wasn't helping the case; if anything, it was making him just more hungry. Why did the drones suddenly decide to learn how to cook now? ]
... Should we try it? [ Perhaps it was the fact of knowing they'd be resurrected if the food happened to be poison that made him willing to try it or maybe Ema's just been bad company for him with all her rash actions... ]
Damn right, they do. [Ema laughs again and gives him a brief kiss before returning to the topic of the food... which really does smell good. Her stomach rumbles.]
I guess? Maybe we'll be lucky and not drop dead or end up doing something we'll regret at a result... If something tastes funny, we'll stop eating. Simple as that.
[Oh, how an empty stomach can supersede logic sometimes.]
[ Which is why he doesn't point out how poison can't always be tasted or smelled or... well, noticed before it's too late. How do you think all those poisoning cases happened, geez.
But let's throw logic aside for a moment and satisfy our hunger! Klavier walks to inspect the food closer, before pulling one table away and motioning her to sit on it. ]
[Oh, Ema's fully aware of that fact; she did spend the better part of her life studying forensic science, after all. This is just her way of making herself feel better about eating obviously suspicious food. She's hungry.]
Pulling chairs out and everything? Such a gentleman~ [Ema sits down and smiles warmly at him.]

Seems like they're re-using yet another event...

Mmm? Refresh my memory. [It's been awhile since she's gone through his notes, especially with the droning and all that.]

[Pause.]
I think Mayfield is trying to get us laid.

[ Klavier muses, poking the rose petals of the bouquet he found next to him. ]
... With someone who isn't our spouse? I'm not sure if anything happened last year, but for now we should just wait and see.
