Laughter is the best medicine
So my cousins and aunt are in town for a few days. Tonight was supposed to be a family dinner with my parents, my aunt, my cousin and his wife, and my other cousin, and me. Plans fell through.
But I wound up going to this place that thenon told me about, The Stovepiper Lounge, with my cousin Jared. They have stand-up comedy night on Thursday night, and so we were there from around 11 p.m. until a bit after 1:30 a.m. A few of the comics were just "eh," but some were pure fucking genius. It was a lot of fun, and I definitely have to go back there.
I now have a new appreciation for the theory of displacement and flying dragonflies, just to reference a couple of the great bits. It wouldn't make sense in writing, but bug me in person if you can and I'll explain.
Anyway, would anybody be interested in going next Thursday? There's no cover, just gotta buy your drink(s).
