The Weekend of Fun
Ahkay so here we go, stop now this may be long
On Friday:
We drove up to Auckland (dad, livy and i), then we went up mt eden and walked around there and looked at the view from up there, its very pretty! and I liked the cows, i always like the cows.
We met sophie at her house at 1 and then we drove out to kelly tarltons, this is a umm almost an aquarium i suppose
it is built in an old sewer (however is very clean now:P)
we went on the penguin snow cat ride (its just a tour of the penguin facility) then we watched the sting rays being fed, and then we went through the fish tunnels and looked at all the little aquarium things, my favorite fish was the fish with legs, yes a step for evolution! but there are sharks and things in the tunnel, but ive seen them all before so it wasnt that amazing. I liked the movie thing at the end as well because it was just a really neat movie with all of these deep sea creatures.
i beleive that we got home from that fairly late (and by that i mean about 6:30) just in time for dinner with grandma
Saturday:
We woke up, oh i know such a novelty
then we drove out to karoitahi (the black sand beach)
this was nice because everyone was there for a change (sophie grandma livy dad and I) though that made for quite a full car
we had sad fights with livy and got her good and dirty like all kids should get when ever they have the chance!
then we went and climbed all of the sandstone cliffs, I really enjoyed that. Id have to say that karoitahi is my favorite place in New Zealand
I have pictures of all of these things and it is rather hard to actually explain them so i wont even try
but a *very* neat beach!
we took the long way home, and went out to the something heads (maybe manukau but that doesnt sound right) there is a lighthouse up there that we could go in and the views were amazing
i made the mistake of giving livy a piggy back ride up most of that hill and i payed for it the next day with a very sore body
we got home around 6 again, very hungy and had fish and chips for dinner, except i didnt have chips and instead had yummy yummy green beans and salt...mmmmm
we just had a relaxing night after that (all very tired out)
Sunday
Sophie Dad Livy and I went to paeroa and got pies and L and P (also known as Lemon and Paeroa - world famous in New Zealand)
we then went to the ummm again with the forgetting of the name - the something gorge
its a really neat place too.
an old goldmine area with tracks all through it. we walked through the really long dark tunnel and saw some glow worms in there (this was a train tunnel) and then we walked along the river and then up into the hills a bit where you can go into some of the old gold minning shafts, we brought flashlights which was a very good idea
we walked around there for about 3 hours and then drove out to whangamata
at which point i was starting to get one of my bad headache things so i took some tylonol and had a nap in the car while everyone else walked along the beach
sophie found a vertebrea and brought it back for me, i had a little bit of a walk around and dock and stuff, just enought for my liking and then we started the long drive home
I sat in the back with livy who promptly fell asleep on me
looked out the window the entire car ride home (about 2 hours)
I still really love it when the sun is almost completely down and you can still see a little bit of light in the sky but everything else is just silloettes
it is so pretty
im very good at keeping to myself when i get around the whole family
not really sure why i do it
I guess i just figure that other people have better things to talk about then anything i may think of
im pretty good at being happy in my own world though
gotten good at it through the years
anyways so now it is monday
and everyone is quite tired and so we are having a bit of a rest day, much needed!

looking forward to seeing everyone again (although i probably wont be seeing a lot of my friends until september)
