           Bangkok, Thailand

Armed with our multi-fandom-filled resume, I, along with friends, were up to the challenge of a new crowd. Expecting the worst but definitely hoping for the best, we thought our mad fangirl skills and experiences were enough to make us last those almost five grueling hours. Whatever we faced though exactly a week ago was beyond what we bargained for. If not for our patience and devotion, we could have died then and there. Literally. A death trap, really. No kidding.

Me, my sister gracie_grace and baby_jin were already on our 2nd day then while eyecatcher_101, jhing_tearjerky, moonstruck2133 and xiao_tian_jelly were only on their first. Knowing the scheduled Press Conference on the 26th, we have already worked around our entire day for this event, aside from checking-out of the Take A Nap Hostel where we originally stayed at around lunch time to moving in to Dusit just two blocks away for an early check-in. With the chance to see Dong Bang Shin Ki again in person after almost a year and half, I tell you, I was way beyond excited.

Bangkok Heat is hotter than Manila's but bearable. The sun was all high. No clouds in sight. Not humid at all. Taking the BTS from Sala Daeng to Siam, I was pretty anxious on what awaits us at CentralWorld. I didn't even realize my forehead was already coverered with sweat. After strolling a long walkway from the station, finally getting to the venue at around 2 PM, seeing a sea of red almost everwhere, I had butterflies in my stomach. OMG. This is it.

Wearing a cap, using a fan and holding an umbrella once in a while, we patiently waited in queue. It was hot. Seriously. I even got tanlines which I got to see only a day after. But things were in order then. Standing and sitting once a while, waiting wasn't that much of a problem. We even had our late lunch from KFC ordered out and taken there. The "O" and "Mirotic" Albums were being played in the background as well. Except for those few very rude Thai Fans in front of us who kept on making everyone else beside their group sit against their will, insisting and even pointing fingers here and there, things were doing ok. Until those near the railings started to panic for some reason and caused everyone at the back to launch forward. That basically triggered all the agony.

It was only 4 PM for crying out loud and we were there stuck in the worst moshpit ever. My right feet was stucked inside a plastic with sticky stuff inside. The floor was all wet and slippery with water bottles crushed everywhere. The kids beside me were drenched in sweat in their school uniforms. There were even scary-looking older guys mixed with the crowd who only had bad intentions and didn't look like fanboys at all. Mixed smells and swelthering heat for almost 3 hours. The worst ever. Stampede with wild crowd pushing here and there, we tried to remain firm on our ground. Me and the rest of the girls were located still close to each other then. Some beside me started fainting one by one. Gasping for air once in a while, I thought I wouldn't make it alive. "Are they really worth all the trouble?" 5 more minutes. I was chanting in my head, "Mind Over Body. Dong Bang Shin Ki. Mind Over Body." 5 more minutes. I was near crying, teary-eyed a couple of times.

And so, 6:30 PM came. Dong Bang Shin Ki, apparently, has arrived. Being dragged by the then wilder crowd, while looking at the huge digital clock by CentralWorld, I was near giving up. 5 more minutes. I was chanting in my head, "Mind Over Body. Dong Bang Shin Ki. Mind Over Body." 5 more minutes. This time, I have already lost sight of the other girls in the group. I just silently prayed and hoped they were doing ok. Thinking happy thoughts and seeing them five all over again, I mustered all the courage and energy I had left and decided to last until I hear that "Annyeong Haseyo. Dong Bang Shin Ki Imnida." Once the boys go out, the Press Conference wouldn't last that long after anyway.

Hours of waiting for minutes of madness. 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM. That was it. Everything's a blur as to what exactly happened then. More pushing. More fainting. More screams. The most unruly situation to be in with the craziest crowd to date. All I was thinking then was get a good view, stay there for 5 minutes or so and get out of there alive as soon as I get the chance.

I gotta admit, I was stuck with staring at Yoochun the most. I was just happy to see him in his new haircut and all. Definitely suits him more. Plus those dimples. Oh. And of course, there was Changmin looking good and clean in a white top. He looked so young and so fresh in his get-up, I wanna go and pinch his cheeks. My baby. Oh. If only I could. And Yunho. Well, the Leader-Ssi looked commanding yet appealing as always. Very handsome, indeed. Then, there's Junsu with his adorable smiles. Manly yet so full of vibrance and charisma. And lastly, the very beautiful Jaejoong, cute in specs and all the works. His piercing stares definitely get me. Finally, after waiting so long, them all five in person, surreal as it could get. And as much as I wanted to make that very moment last longer, I just wanted the event to end already. I was, really, struggling for my dear life.

After saying some things in Korean, posing for the cameras and waving here and there, they were out. And the crowd dispersed in less than a minute. Amazing. I honestly was relieved to get some air. Me and the rest of the girls already anticipated that we'd get separated from each other with the mad crowd and all so we agreed to meet at Starbucks just across the street after the event. Then, none of the girls was in sight so I decided to proceed to the meeting place as discussed. And as I was in the middle of the street, crossing my way to the other side, girls started screaming. Three vans, apparently carrying the boys and their entourage, were fast approaching. Right there and then, it hit me. Years passed and a couple of attempts after, I really was in Bangkok. Just to see them five and their awesomeness. If this ain't love, I don't know what else to call it.

Now, because almost everyone in the office is paranoid with the still spreading A(H1N1), I've been on self-quarantine since I got back last Wednesday. Mandatory 10-Day Quarantine for anyone coming back from a trip abroad, work-related or not. On my 3rd day today, I am working from home having meetings and stuff via Conference Calls. I am fine though. Still no voice but not sick at all. PH and KL Friends are reported to be though, feverish with colds and flu-like symptoms. What's worse is there are Thais positively confirmed to have contracted the virus in some Korean Boyband Concert they attended over the weekend. The same one me and friends attended for 2 nights in a row. Oh no. I heard symptoms manifest late for some. As a precaution, I am on self-quarantine until I don't know when. Take care, everyone. Feel better soon. *hugs*

And Jung Yunho. I am not sick but I blame you for all the heat I'm feeling right now. "Checkmate" on replay since I got back. And I can clearly picture you doing that sexy move. Oh. Please let me be and leave me alone. x_x
