This is so utterly lovely. The dialogue feels incredibly natural and Sam's voice is pitch-perfect, I just want to roll around in the awesomeness of it all. Also, Lee is a great character. The quiet tension through it all, Dean being his endlessly endearing self... Man, so good. <333

Awwww. It's not total schmoop at all -- so much atmosphere, that sad, improvised Winchester domesticity, and poor Sam dangling over the abyss of what he doesn't know -- but the element of schmoop there was was very satisfying and nothing of which you should be ashamed. Also, this:
Dean wasn't answering, which meant he was either dead or just being a dick. Both possibilities made Sam angry. made me laugh and was perfect.
