Meta Fiction spoilers
I didn't get a chance to watch last night's episode until today, and I have some important points I wish to discuss:
So, ignoring everything I choose to ignore, let's talk about how Dean had a blue handkerchief in this episode. I turned to the gay hanky code to translate, and it said "fucker" or "fuckee" depending on which pocket he kept it in. That or something about 69in. But he was holding it in his hands the whole time, so...eh? I should rewatch the scene to check. Also, he was cleaning a knife off with it and that was a metaphor, the end.
Another thing I loved about last night's episode is how:
And I also loved when Gadreel was goading Dean, trying to get Dean to kill him by saying all that terribleness about how Sam would never sacrifice himself for Dean blah blah. Dean looked so sad. I love sad!Dean, obviously, and I love how the whole time Gadreel's saying all that it's basically playing on Dean's fears, and we as the audience know for so many canononical reasons that this is wrong. And I kept thinking about how sad it was that at the beginning of the season Gadreel says Sam knows that Dean does everything for love. Dean looks so awkward and it is so tragic and beautiful.
So, those are my takeaways. My parents' main input, however:
My mom: That guy from Battlestar Galactica is not into being tied up by Dean.
My dad, from the other room: His name is Galadriel!
And finally, I started writing something a couple weeks ago that is current canon and has to do with Sam and Dean in a drippy warehouse situation with Gadreel, so when I saw that last scene I shrieked and waited for it to undermine what I was writing, but it didn't. Anyway, it's totally my fault for taking so long to write things. I want to just sit for a solid five hours and finish it, but woooork is so exhausting as is running awesome challenges (go look at spnspringfling, everything is so great! I've barely had a chance to read any yet, but I'm hoping to this week!). I want to do everything but there is never enough time. But I'm going to finish it this week! I have decided!
Edit: All that said, where was Dean's tattoo? I think the reflection was just of his right side, but I felt like there should have been a moment of it when you see the left side of his chest. Did anyone else notice that?
