I found myself glad when Sam wasn't really gone from his home, and even gladder when I realized we were in current canon. Very sweet and interesting take on the prompt.

I love current canon, and I love the idea of Sam dreaming of something that kind of happened, setting out away from home, and then dragging back to years later, at home in the Batcave.

This is lovely.
I especially like the transition when Sam was waking up between the moon and Dean.

I was thinking about the end of s6, where he's driving and has to shield his eyes against oncoming headlights, but really it's Dean shining a flashlight in his eyes to try to wake him up.
