Right.

Do what is uncomfortable- it'll help you eventually run into what is right. Or you'll at least get something interesting.

I'm still waiting to try out that oatmeal-paint mixture.

That's true.

I wasn't sure about whether or not the oatmeal would rot and mould so I put fixative on it and it seems okay for now. Except that it smells like fixative. But other than that..

This is why I do so many self-portraits. And I always feel creepy asking people to model for me.

I'm so tired of self-portraits, though. I'm nothing special to look at and I can get neither good camera angles nor good lighting when I'm doing self-portraits.

I already have a male model set for the spring and at least one female as well, but I want something more specific. I'm thinking of asking this one girl to do it - her hair is perfect - but you're right, it would feel creepy.

Self portraits are one of the most challenging things to photograph though. Experiment, fuck around, put crap on your face. You'll see.

I might just not photograph people for a while.
