Whew!
So I'm taking a little breaky from all my weekend activities. Chris is outside doing yardwork and I am in here doing laundry and catching up on LJ (of course!).
Woke up this morning with a migraine dagnabbit! This is the second Sat. in a row, and I didn't drink anything last night so I guess I can attribute it to stress. I was feeling very spazzy last night about all the stuff I had to do this weekend, and then I get all worked up and spaz out. But then once I spaz I feel very calm and zen-like. Om.
So took my pills, went back to bed, woke up a little before 11. Stopped over at Kelly's house to pick up pics and a basket and drop off glitter nail polish. Went to my mom's house, where we made part of Kelly's birthday present. It's a real cool off-white photo album covered in fabric that looks like silk shantung but it probably not...but it's very texturized and cool. The photo album has pictures from all the events that took place between Tim and Kelly's engagement and wedding...so pics of the different showers, trying on dresses, bachelorette weekend, and rehearsal. Basically everything except the wedding itself (which was last Oct.). It came out really nice, plus we bought a matching photo box for the extra pics that did not fit in the album. We left some space in the box (it had those little trays that slide out) so that if she has extra pics of her own she can put them in there. I think she is going to love it and I can't wait to give it to her tomorrow!!
Came back home, loaded down with photo albums. Got a great package from Caroline. Here's what was in it:
First, the snacks:
-Hershey's kisses
-peanuts
-starbursts fruit twists (um, yeah, Chris and I just ate those)
-Lunchables big chocolate chip cookie
Now this stuff is awesome:
-Texas wildflower seeds (we'll plant these this week)
-incredibly cool blue gel pen w/black post-it notes (bitchin')
-blue maracas (I plan to annoy lots of people with these!)
-adorable little brown pot with flowers filled with a candle
-very cool little purple pot for my pottery collection
So that was a wonderful surprise b/c I didn't think I would get it until next week! Thanks sweetie!
Chris and I went to a local nursery and got presents for my mom, his mom, and his grandmother. I also found some adorable votive holders for Kelly's birthday, and of course some cute little things for some of my package buddies. I didn't realize before they had all this gifty stuff in addition to plants!
So now we're back here, and I am off to finish laundry. I have to bake a cake for Chris's dad's birthday, and make dirt for my mom's brunch. Then I have to make sure all cards are signed and get Joe and Heather's wedding gift together, as we are giving it to them tomorrow. I never found a basket for it :( so a large gift bag will have to do. Also have to scan in a few more pics for Kelly's photo album. Oh, and clean my bathroom like I have been saying I will do all week....Shit I better get moving.
