Sorry I've been AWOL, guys. I'm not very good at keeping my LJ updated.
Anyway, thought I'd fill you in on what I've done in the past few months and what I plan to do in the future.
So, in November I participated in NaNoWriMo and kicked ass. I finished my story on December 3rd with 56,000+ words (though I hit 50,000 words on November 29th). Although I am ecstatic that I managed to finish, it needs a lot of editing before anyone can read it but me. Even for proofreading.
I've been super busy with school work and am in my last week of classes right now and almost done, thank God. I just finished reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman yesterday and Looking for Alaska by John Green earlier this evening. Both were absolutely excellent and are now in my top five for favourite books ever.
As for what I plan to do next. During my winter break (December 16th to January 16th), I plan to work on what I am calling my "Completely Crazy Sanity-Stealing Project." Basically, I am going to take the novel I attempted to write for NaNoWriMo last year, which is unfinished, and rewrite it over winter break. I plan to try and write 2000 words a day and am going to check in every day with a YouTube video in an effort to actually hold yself accountable and finish the damn thing.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. I would really appreciate if you could help me out by following my progress over winter break on YouTube, though. One of the reasons I am going to post a video every day is so that people can kick my ass into gear if I fall behind. And I need as much moral support as I can get. So if you could check up on me every now and then over here or here, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, you guys!
