I want to take a minute to thank
wizardelfgirl,
gilpin25,
snorkackcatcher,
annabtg and
author_by_night for their kind words in my last entry. My f-list is made of awesome :-)
In my last entry, the lovely
wizardelfgirl enquired about the fate of the concert
that my choir was preparing. I come bearing clips of today's rehearsal.
The other two themes that we are presenting are "The Impossible Dream" and "Panis Angelicus". Worry not, I *will* be spamming you with video of the actual performance ;-)
After the rehearsal, we had our picture taken. If you look really closely, you will be able to spot the organist too
And here we are with the music teacher.
But my internet connection is being a little silly and LJ is not helping, so I have made this facebook album public for a little while. Let me know if you have any trouble viewing it, and feel free to add me if you're so inclined.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=213570&id=543043760&l=6d31b03831 What is one thing that you think about while in a public area (ex. train, bus, school)?
My head is a dark and twisty place. It could be anything from replaying a conversation in my head, from my usually long to-do list, to just random things like "what's the formula to calculate the volume of ...?". It's just weird. It doesn't help matters that I have a strong tendency to think out loud.
What kind of books do you read?
Anything that will sit still long enough, although lately I have had to read a lot more TEFL than before, leaving little time for fiction and the like.
What name did you give your computer?
I call my computers lame things like "the laptop" and "the desktop" or "the HP" (as in Hewlett Packard, not Harry Potter as one might think.
What is a weird habit you have?
Messing with my hair when I'm trying to think. Which results in very messy head, which in turn is the reason I do not usually let my hair down often.
ZOMBIES OR ROBOTS: Which apocalypse is scarier?
Both.
What's really creepy?
I agree with
vnfan. Humans.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
I'm not very committed to anything right now, but HP will always be special.
Cake or Death? Cake or cupcakes? Star Wars or Star Trek?
Cake. Cake. Cake. Star Wars.
What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Work email, my personal e-mail (gmail, I don't check yahoo or hotmail frequently), Facebook.
What was the last thing you bought?
Online, "Nadie Lo Creería" and "Amame eternamente y vamos viendo (la pareja contada para principiantes)", both by Luis María Pescetti. In person, I got me a MUNAL t-shirt and a couple TEFL books in my recent trip to Mexico City.
Which fictional character do you think you're most like?
Recently, I feel a little like Bridget Jones. My mind sometimes works like Phoebe Buffay's. I have a very well nurtured inner
Natacha.
Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
Coffee. Onion and sour cream potato chips. Chocolate milk. Arizona Iced Tea. Snapple.
What do you do to change your mood?
If I'm angry about stuff at work, I rant to my partner Chary. If I'm depressed, a good Friends marathon snaps me out of it. If I'm just stressed out about stuff, I practice football. Singing helps with all of the above.
What was the last meal you ate?
I tried to eat a hamburger for lunch, but I have a cold so it just tasted like cardboard adn I gave up. This morning I had three tacos.
Do you want to learn another language?
I want to do German if I ever master French.
Five things you can't live without.
1) Coffee
2) My computer
3) Football
4) Intellectual stimulation
5) Sugar
Find the closest book currently sitting near you and flip to page 54. What is the first sentence of the second paragraph?
“Ley de Arbonés del Milagro Poco Probable.
Es más fácil transformar una carroza en calabaza que al revés."
"Arbones's Law of Unlikely Miracle.
It's easier to transform a chariot into a pumkin than it is to do it the other way around."
What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
And you really wanted me to skip football on Sunday to spend the day with you? SERIOUSLY?
What are you looking forward to?
Getting rid of this stupid cold so I can be human for tomorrow's concert.
Phew, that was long!
