Anna is sitting at the Glory Mansion, in her room, unpacking. Kathleen is out in London, shopping again. It's always lonely at the house, Anna reflects. The ball is two days away. She falls back onto her bed, sighing again.
The Common Room is terrible empty, and it's odd to sleep in an empty room. Jump on the next train back.

P.S. Did I tell you? I'm going home the day after Christmas because my parents will have cleaned up and they're taking me to this formal dinner party. they wanted me to bring a date, and guess who agreed? JAMES POTTER! This is thrilling!

The 27th. I'm not sure how much of a party it'll be. It's this scientist award ceremony that my parents were invited too. Black ties, over-priced dresses. All that. Kind of almost as bad as what you're going to I imagine. I'll know your pain soon.
