First Day Jitters

Aug 18, 2005 10:25

So today was my first day of school. I was a little scared and very very hot. I live 18 blocks away from the building my class is in and on a normal day (during the summer anyway) that takes me all of 3-5 minutes to drive, depending on the lights and stuff. This morning I leave at 8:55, I don't get down the street until 9:12 and then I have to find a place to park!!!! I think I parked about 2-3 blocks away from class and starting walking about 9:23. I walk in the door at exactly 9:30 and class was over at 9:45. I was back at home by 10:15 and class is not even supposed to be over until 10:45. When i changed into more comfortable clothes b/c it was so hot outside, my shirt was soaked. It is hot out there man and I'm walking around like i'm supposed to or something. I hadn't had to walk that far to class in a very long time. I'm not necessarily looking forward to it for a whole semester either. Maybe next week will be better.

However, I am excited about my class. I'm taking Grad Level Algebra I. Sounds totally cool I know. There is a girl in my class that was in every last one of my math and science classes during my four years in high school. I think that's extra cool. I'm gonna try very hard to do well in this class.

Gotta go. I have to call a man about a part time teaching position. Just gonna get info. I don't think that's what i really want to do. Later
