NO DIGGITY NO DOUBT
Things have been a bit better :D :D
I've been mixing Magic Mountains album this whole week. I have 2-3 more days to finish with everything and I have one song done, and 2 more almost done, there's 7 songs. Im glad that I actually believe and enjoy this band immensely, Its nice to actually "get into" the songs while you're mixing. On another side note, Looks like I'm going to be touring coming up this August for 2-3 weeks, going up to Seattle and back, that's gonna be loads of fun, but before that I'm playing my first show as a full band with my music this next thursday, and then got a show june 10th at the Smell. ALSO, I updated my page and everything, put about 3 of 4 new songs from new albums on there, including my album Superstar Forgot the Coke and Everything, and , Satan Water. Check it out, that is if anybody reads this hahaha.

so anyways, tonight I went and I saw SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM, one of my favorite bands ever, live at the Key Club.
It was pretty dope Stolen Babies opened for them, but I'm not that big of a fan.
On the way to the show, I exclaimed "fuck, I forgot to make Carla a gift." (Carla being the girl singer/violinist/bass harmonica player/etc in the band for those who don't know. ) and made jokes about wanting to give a framed picture of myself with a heart around my face hahaha.
so instead, I grabbed a receipt off the ground of my friends car, and drew this crude picture of myself with big batting eyes holding a heart and on top in cursive it read "Dear Carla, I love you, love -chad plates ubovich- "
and then below I drew this disgusting bird with him exclaiming "I like the way you work it, no diggity " and an arrow pointing to the back, with my number and myspace
hahah.
so at the end of the show, I see Carla, who is currently prego, sitting on the stage talking to some people and I approach her, and awkwardly give her this piece of crap, smiling and laughing giddily like a little girl while my friends watch in the back laughing.
She laughed and said she'd put it up in the bus, I made crappy small talk, and was all weird, she didn't laugh at a lot of the things I was saying, which made me feel weird....
see for anybody that knows me, which you dont haha, I'm a real lovable guy, and if you don't like me in the beginning, you will.
I rarely have much enemies, and when I do, I'm usually friends with them.
So when people make me feel weird, I feel SUPER weird, and bad for a good while, so long explanation long, that's how I felt haha.
Later on I got my shirt signed by Nils (lead singer, and which was also an awkward conversation...) and Carla, tried shootin for Dan but he was busy talking to Ethan about an internship.
yeah, it was a pretty dope and cool show, definitely one the best.
