I... hm. Kiyoshi, you have to understand that your father is not... the sort of person who generally would end up having children. His own childhood upbringing makes him entirely unsuitable as a father. I'm sure that he cares for your safety, and wants you to be well and happy, but he cannot himself make these things come to pass, because he will stand at the edge of every decision and see only what his own father would have done, or did do, instead of what he could do.
