In the dim lamplight of an abandoned house, Dean is beautiful.
Not nearly as beautiful as this story, though. ♥

I absolutely love this, and now have to stalk you to see if you have written more Dean/Cas. One of the best things I've seen all night.

Aww, thanks. This is the only Dean/Cas fic I've written so far, but I suspect that it won't be the last.

I was just getting ready to sign off when I saw this, and I'm glad I paused to read it. I love the breaks in the story, pauses where I can just feel Castiel collecting his thoughts. For a story of Dean being cocky and broken and depraved, it is very beautiful.

I loved this line particularly:
Perhaps it is simply that Dean's soul is a latticework of scars, after all, and those are far from the worst of them.
"Latticework of scars" is amazingly evocative, and I think captures both the beauty and tragedy of Dean's soul. <3
