I think season 6 will begin with Dean trying not to hunt, but getting itchy feet, and the brother he thinks is dead/in Hell as his scary-ass guardian angel. Like maybe half of the first episode will have to do with the apple pie life. Would you still not like that?
I could live with it but..I dunno. I just don't see a way to compromise the Lisa thing with the hunting thing in a way that would satisfy me, and I really liked the way the boys were shaping up to be partners in this season.
I'm not saying it can't be done, just that I'm a little leery of where they might end up taking it.
No, no, no! Dean isn't happy. He's miserable. Did you look at his face? He was drinking in front of Ben during that final scene. The only reason he went to Lisa is because he promised Sam he would, and he wants to keep his final promise to his little brother. He's there for Sam, not for himself.
Sam is going to leave him to his "normal life." And then Dean is going to find out about it--and he is going to be pissed as hell. Then there will be a reunion.
I pretty much agree with everything you've said here (including the show for my id part in a really big way).
I like Lisa, and a big sappy part of me loves that Dean's getting a bit of a go at happy domesicity because he so obviously wants it and my heart breaks for him and all that. But I don't want to watch it, not as it is anyway, that's not what I'm here for.
IDK. I really doubt that they'll be keeping him there for long, but even having that tie to a place and to people changes the landscape of the show a bit. And. IDEK. There's a lot of really amazing things they could do with season six. I just hope they actually DO some of them.
Well... here's where we get REALLY cynical - because I hate the harpy in charge and know she has an agenda... this is the beginning of her character assassination of Dean. Yep. He's off the market, he's gone soft, and he's just walked away from his brother in hell and his surrogate father, and yep, his life isn't even about saving people anymore. Where is the hero we all came to love and admire
( ... )
I would hate it if Deans only concern next season would be that of Sam. I am frankly quite tired of the relationship between the brothers. They need something new and fresh to make it work next season. Dean with Lisa, well, somehow I can see that. But not that he will be gone from hunting totally.
And Sam would be very selfish, if he didn`t make Dean aware of him being out of hell.

Yeah, exactly. And that doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to jump the shark, but I'm still a little worried.
I think this show serves a lot of people's ids, actually. One of the reasons it's got such a disproportionately huge fandom.
