This place has a knack for bringing in others from different worlds. The local doctor revealed himself to be the one behind that much.

Might I inquire as to whom you are? As I told the child, my name is Sephiroth.

I see. Is there any known way of leaving or am I effectively imprisoned here?

I've left once, but it wasn't by choice and I was brought back three Vatheon-days later.

I see. Do you know the reason we've been brought here? [Logic usually dictates there is always a reason for something, no matter how small, idiotic or stupid it is.. there is a reason.]

Only rumors. When I first arrived, it was believed to be some sort of experiment as to interactions- what others from different places would bring to the table and what would happen if the environment changed. I see, thank you for the forewarning.

That said, it's best not to travel at night. The shadows are malicious once the light fades.

Obviously this world devalues the meaning of death which occurs here as well as off this world? [He didn't exactly see this as a good thing really, death was final for a reason and flaunting it merely led people to grow callous of those around them over time.]

When it comes to the shadows the general time for return is one to three days. But by another's hands... [Sigh. Not such fond memories.] -a week.
