(no subject)
This is going to be an Easter Recap Post, since I was too tired do it yesterday.
AHEM.
The 'rents and I went to Mass yesterday at 10:30, and as expected, it was crowded as hell, just like every year. I was half-expecting Mom to make her dumb comment ( "they just love popping out of the woodwork on Christmas and Easter, don't they?" ) before and after the service, but to my surprise, she didn't say anything. I don't know if that's an improvement for her, or if she just forgot.
Among the Easter candy I got? Was the English KH2. Phoebe got the Collector's Edition for the Narnia movie. There was much glee to be had.
Unfortunately, before I could actually play the damn game, Dad bursts into my room just as the opening FMV finishes ( on that notE: "Sanctuary"? Ohgodmyears. I'd take Passion anyday plzkthxok. ) and asks "HAY WANT TO GO TO THE DRIVING RANGE? :D" And I go "SURE 8D". Because... well, it's not very often that Dad takes me with him golfing, so. xD
After an hour of smacking golf balls across a field, we came back home and I plugged KH2 back in like a mofo. Stayed pretty much glued to the TV for three hours as I played through the Roxas scenario. I take back most of the shit I talked about Quinton Flynn -- he did a really good job during the prologue. Like wow. I also love Christopher Lee as DiZ and Brittany Snow as Naminé. Thank god the Twilight Town kids have good voices, or I would've cried.
I don't have any complaints about Jesse, or the new voice that's noticable right off the bat. But then, on the latter? Maybe I just don't care because that VA voices a couple of my favorite characters ( like Ziggy in the Xenosaga games ) so I was going "eeeeeee" at his voice.
... the flashbacks were painful when they got to his turn, though. Wtf. Someone's trying a little too hard to act like Billy Zane, huh?
Then we ate an awesome Easter dinner and I came online to putz around for a while and say hello to everybody and ask how they were doing. But eventually I succumbed to the intense madness that is called KH2, and I played through Hollow Bastion and Beast's Castle. Surprisingly I didn't die at Beast's Castle, unlike last time. >_> But then, that's because I was expecting the Large Bodies' tackle attack, and when they start doing that I press triangle like a mofo.
I also drive like a mofo, too. Holy shit. I must've gone Valor form four or five times. At least not much has changed about my playing style since the import. xD
And now... restocking supplies at Hollow Bastion, and then to the Land of Dragons!
