Can you FREAKING believe it? :)
For the second week in a row, a total stranger paid for my dinner!
And just like last week, it happened when I was on my way to chorus rehearsal. This time, I stopped in to Subway instead of Whole Foods, to get a 6" Veggie Patty Sub. While my sandwich was being worked on, the clerk asked this middle-aged gentleman what he wanted. He answered, "The Spicy Italian."
Then he added, "Oh yeah, and I'll take the sandwich, too."
I kind of shook my head and laughed, and then said, "Somehow, I knew that was coming!"
Well, he continued on with a bunch of corny jokes in that vein, after which I'd laugh or groan, or both. When it came time for us to pay for our subs, he said, "I'm paying for both of these."
I said, "Oh, my gosh! Thank you so much!" Yeah, he admitted he did it because I got his jokes!
Wow, I don't know what on earth I'm doing, but whatever it is, I'd better keep it up...
