Trivial Trivia?
As a T-Mobile customer, one of the services I subscribe to is that of receiving "Daily Trivia" text messages. Being a trivia buff, I was excited to subscribe to this service. Now, I always thought that trivia referred to little-known information. Apparently, T-Mobile doesn't think so, because what they consider trivia is what I consider commonly-known facts. For instance:
What's the name of the cartoon cave couple who lives in the town of Bedrock? (Flintstones)
Now, really! Was there anyone out there who really seriously didn't know the answer to that question?
This "gem" from yesterday really took the cake:
DAILY TRIVIA Who was the father of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars?
Wait, wait! I know! It's Darth somebody -- Tater, Spader?
That does it, I'm cancelling my subscription!
