I'm especially fond of the well-worn volume/page-turning image at the end. It's entirely appropriate, and a very peaceful send-off.
(I've added you; I hope you don't mind! Between the meet-up last week and the unusually chatty posts on thegameison_sh this week, new and fascinating folks are everywhere.)
It was a good day, if surprisingly exhausting. I'm not accustomed to social outings attended by forty-odd people, so the combination of attempting to talk to everybody, or as much of everybody as I could, plus walking what felt like the whole city on foot was...whew. And do feel free to add back :) I'm sure you'll have the chance to make it to a meet-up, though, as this fandom constantly seems to be planning them in a variety of locations!
That was so sweet and sad and spine-chilling. I really felt that moment when John shielded Sherlock's body with his. And in a way, his prayer is answered because they do live, in a way, in the afterlife. It's tragic, but it's not that tragic in the end because they have each other.
Feeling a bit teary now. But a good kind of teary. Thankyou for making me feel.
You're quite welcome! The whole "meeting again in the afterlife" thing s a theme that has always resonated strongly with me, in a tragically happy kind of way.

And of course, I don't mind at all and am secretly jealous of all the meet-up folks. :-)
