Unreached People Groups

I attend a smallish international church in Korea that has a big focus on missions. Every spring the church takes a group of about 10 people to a remote village in the Philippines to a tribe of people called Tobogowan. To get to there, they have to take a tiny 4 passenger Cessna-type plane. In that village, there is only one man who can speak English. He's been working on translating the Bible into his people's language, but he also has to work to support himself, so his time is limited. You know, fish and farm and that type of thing. Well, this morning at church, the guy who has the contact with him and New Tribes Mission, said that he asked what it would take to get this guy to be able to work just on Bible translation, and not to have to work. They figured it out, and all it would take is $50 a month.

$50 a month to get the Bible translated.

Dude.

To send an American missionary would cost closer to $30,000/year.

It makes me excited to know that I can help with that, but my salary as a missionary teacher is limited, too. Anyone want to help get the Bible translated to the Tobogowan Tribe in the Philippines? Email me: lorihake at gmail dot com
